Elizabeth's Story

As a little one, Elizabeth's parents shared Christian mysticism with her and they brought her along to all their favorite storytelling festivals all over the southeast U.S. They taught her a deep appreciation for embodied listening.

Having studied Buddhism as a teenager, Elizabeth was always open to alternative healing philosophies and belief systems. Hatha yoga was a homecoming in 2008, when she found a Iyengar & Hatha yoga class in her tiny southern town.

Overnight, this practice became so important. Yoga became a ritual tool to balance her dance, running and mental over-activity. It supported her anxiety and depression, empowered her to relate to her body positively.

Elizabeth also fell in love with the spirit of yoga and became a lifestyle practitioner, letting yoga work on her. Her heart led her in curious pursuit of different styles of practice for many years in an open minded exploration of all that yoga has been developed into.

In 2013, she found her first studio home and completed her first 200 hour yoga teacher training (at Nirvana Yoga) in Atlanta, Georgia. It was an incredible transformational journey. Elizabeth was shy but her passion eventually got her over her nerves and she began teaching yoga to large group classes and privately one to one.

When Elizabeth moved to Oregon she found herself drawn to an intro massage class for the general public. That led to her next educational adventure with a 640 hour massage therapy training the following year, in 2015.

She took her time in her education due to medical conditions she rapidly developed which manifested chronic pain for years. This taught her a deep embodied appreciation for the bodywork training as well as the value of her yoga practices.

While Elizabeth's chronic pain persisted, she focused on education and exceeded requirements for graduation, went back and became a teaching assistant for some of her favorite courses. She went on to take specialized bodywork courses for women's health with Leslie Stager. Also completed an apprenticeship for rehabilitative therapy techniques.

She has not stopped learning, in either field, and likely never will. As she grows, the inner library of healing practices from all the resources and teachers she's blessed to receive guidance from grows. Yogic philosophy and bodywork's wisdom traditions are the core of what she shares with everyone she works with.

Elizabeth started researching astrology a few years ago in depth, self-teaching with the help of books and guides. This was also when she began working with Tarot regularly and cultivating a deeper relationship to her intuition.

A couple years of independent study passed and she signed up for a formal mentorship program for both astrology and Tarot. Her trusted teacher taught her a wonderful constructive foundation to thrive upon for both which gave her the confidence to start sharing and certified her in the trade.

Since integrating astrology and divination into her praxis, her perspective has expanded. She has an increased capacity to communicate boundaries, constructively engage with others through personal differences, increased confidence & self-esteem along with personal clarity as well.

Elizabeth is honored to offer her skills exclusively through her practice, Honeysuckle Healing.
